It perfectly imitates a green leaf. Its adult size is about 12 cm. Its fixed elytra (which can be related to wings) do not allow it to fly, but it deploys them to cushion a fall
Only females are present in breeding, but we would have found wild males. However, perfect gynandromorphs (specimens that look like males but are actually sterile) have been found in breeding.
